Upcoming Bitcoin halving

The next Bitcoin halving is expected to occur around April 19-20, 2024[1][2][3][4][8][12][13]. This will be the fourth halving event in Bitcoin's history.

During the halving, the block reward given to Bitcoin miners for processing transactions will be cut in half. The current block reward of 6.25 BTC per block mined will decrease to 3.125 BTC[1][2][4][12][17].
